Stedung is a green plant as pandanus. It has thorns at each sides. In Prabumulih, South sumatera, it used for making traditional plaited mat and "ketupat." I'm sure you've known ketupat; ketupat is a lebaran day food here. It's not only for lebaran day but also for certain days. People will make 'ketupat of Stedung' in celebration parties. From leaves of Setedung , people here make 'ketupat' caused it has long endured time.
